Mit dem SMARTbrick 2200A-Modul kann zwischen passiven und aktiven Typen konfiguriert werden. Für Fehlerstimulationen kann ein Leitungsbruch / Leitungskurzschluss für jeden der zwei Kanäle pro Modul individuell stimuliert werden. Die Konfiguration sowie die Fehlerstimulation werden in Verbindung mit der Trägerkarte über CAN-Bus vorgegeben.
